Looking into a node

This is the first article of the series by Ali Sheikholeslami and published in IEEE Solid-State Circuits magazine. This article discuss the method to analyze the linear,time-invariant circuits with mos transistors.

By replacing with small signal equivalent circuits of transistors we can analyze these kind of circuits using KCL and KVL equations. But these conventional methods are very cumbersome when the circuits includes many transistors.

This article presents alternate approach by providing a library of elements which are used to reduce the circuit by replacing them with their Thevenin/Norton equivalents by simply looked into the nodes. This way you can analyze any mos LTI circuit on back of the envelope.

You can access this article from IEEE digital library at

Since I can't directly share the contents of the article, I would like to show you how to use the method using my own example circuits from my next post.
